Roof safety analysis under FMVSS 216 safety standards.

In this project, the roof of a Body-In-White(BIW) was undertaken roof crush analysis. The component used to impart force on the roof is known as impactor. BIW is kept stationary and the impactor is moved towards the roof of the BIW.
According to FMVSS 216 standards, the roof of the BIW should resist at least 3 times the force acting on the model at rest.
